When does anything go right first time?
When did anything big in your life happen over night?
– If weight loss doesn’t happen in the first few weeks DON’T GIVE UP!
It can take a couple of weeks to get used to changes or adapt the numbers.
– if you have one week where you maintain or add a few pounds DON’T GIVE UP!
It’s sometimes good to have a week off from consistent weight loss. I’ve seen people lose over a 1-2 stone then get disheartened about gaining a pound! Look how far you have come.
– if you don’t lift that new 1RM DON’T GIVE UP!
Take a step back and assess what you can change. Do you need to adapt the plan or just give it a couple of more weeks.
– if you are not enjoying the gym DON’T GIVE UP!
Try something different or look at why you are doing it. Try to enjoy it rather than seeing it as punishment. Very few people enjoy going the gym all the time (I know I don’t) but keep showing up and getting it done. Consistency will always win
